The UN Association of the Isle of Man is committed to promoting the ethic and initiatives of the UN . Following on from the statement from the Secretary General and experiencing the
responsible reaction of the Manx students to global matters , the Association has opened its doors wider and as of December 2019 all students attending the secondary schools on the Island are now members of the Association.
However it does not stop there and in order to give a strong foundation andto continue to work with the educators and students the UNAIOM is launching the Youth 2030 IOM initiative at the Ballakermeen Studio Theatre next Monday, 21st September at 17.00. We want to work with young people to create a programme of events that will be of benefit to all the Youth on the Isle of Man.
We have chosen 21st September, the International Day of Peace, to launch Youth 2030 IOM as we know it is vital to listen to our young people and discover how they want to organise the initiative here on the Island.
All students and young people are invited to attend – please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any queries.
“We have been lucky to work with a group of Manx post graduates who are here on the Island and have designed a package of posters and images to reflect the Youth 2030 program” said Jennie Thompson “and this will also be launched on Monday so we hope that as many students as possible will attend , their input and their opinions are vital ”.
