The Charles Colvington Trust was formed to assist Manx Post Graduate students to participate in educational courses at the UN Offices Geneva.
The Colvington Trust may assist up to three eligible Isle of Man students each year who accept offers of internship from the UN Geneva office. Funding will assist in covering travel and accommodation costs only, up to a maximum value of £3000 per applicant, and also for a maximum of three months.
Update from 2021
A bequest from Mr and Mrs Charles Colvington, who formed the UN Association of the Isle of Man has been available since 2019 however the world has changed dramatically since that date. Because of the financial situation that students now face and also because of Covid19 and the effect the pandemic has had on the world and all of us, the Trustees have agreed that the support should not only be confined to internship.
The Charles Colvington Trust is named after the man who formed the United Nations Association, Isle of Man which planned to raise the profile of the U.N. on Island and allow others to benefit from its initiatives.
