Tynwald Day saw the Association down in the Arboretum supporting the One World Centre Global Village where we were able to promote the UN 2019 International year of indigenous languages and the Periodic  Table . The huge map of the world and the competitions as to what country had what language as well as questions on substances and their place in the periodic table,  drew in young and old alike.

Some of you will have been able to see what the Outreach Committee had done  when we showed the work at the AGM and a huge thank you to Ruth, Tanya, Lottie  and Haafizah for their work on this. It was surprising how many people said they didn’t know we existed so a step in the right direction.

Following on from this event was our Annual General Meeting held at the Claremont Hotel with Charlie Shimmins as a speaker. All who came had a great time and we hope to build on this in the future.
