We were saddened to hear of the death of William Cain QC, Honorary President of UNAIOM

A former Attorney General & First Deemster in the Isle of Man, William was awarded the Tynwald Honour based on his national and international work. His life & career is captured in an oral history piece by Culture Vannin – https://www.culturevannin.im/watchlisten/oralhistory/william-cain-566565/

What a gentleman – always generous with his wisdom and patient whilst others learned. I know Deemster Cain kindly counselled many about everything from whether to establish a charity to how to negotiate with the U.K. and locate the Island in international frameworks. Such counsel was usually based on his personal successes for the Island, successes which he was too modest to even men nation unless pushed.
